I am Latina/o/x
A virtual art exhibit examining Latina/o former foster youth’s cultural identity

This virtual art exhibit will be part of a research project to study Latina/o/x Former Foster Youth’s cultural identity.
As an artist you are asked to submit art inspired by the theme “I am Latina/o/x.” This theme represents your interpretation of your identity (who you are) and your relationship to Latina/o/x culture (habits, values, and traditions).
Art must be Suitable for all audiences for online display (but all art content will be acceptable for research purposes).
Artists will be divided into three categories: grades k-5 (approximately 5-10 years old), grades 6-12 (approximately 11-17 years old), and adults (18+).
You must sign permission to showcase the art, and if under 18 years old of age must seek parental approval.
Expectations: This is a pilot study, so we do not know how many artists may submit pieces and we hope to have enough space to accommodate everyone.
Copyright: Entries must be submitted by the original artist. You must be the sole owner of the art piece you submit and the submission of the piece and the entry form is your guarantee that you are the author and copyright holder of the work.
Additional Terms and Conditions: By participating in the show, you agree to release and hold harmless any affiliate of this project -The principal investigator, advisors, MSMU., board, and affiliates, from any and all damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind resulting from your participation in this exhibition, including infringement of intellectual property rights. We assume no responsibility or liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind arising in whole or in part from this virtual art gallery (see consent forms).
Please do not send any unrequested materials.
The art gallery will stay live until 05/30/2023.
Thank you for your participation. However, we are not accepting submissions at this time for 2022. Please stay tune for announcements in regards to 2023.
